GET TO KNOW TIM

I've been on both sides
of the promise.

At agencies, I made brands look like anything the client wanted. In-house, I had to live with what we'd promised. 30+ years of that teaches you one thing above all: a brand can't outrun the truth.

Most brands fail the same way.

Every strategist tells you to differentiate. Almost none of them tell you how, or check whether you can deliver the thing they're selling. So they hand you a look that feels good in the room and falls apart the first time a customer meets the real company. I build the ones the business can actually keep.

The hard part is what the work taught me.

I came up in the agency world, building brands for some of the most recognized names in the country. Big promises, made well. Then I went in-house and ran brand for a major financial institution, where I was the one who had to keep those promises, every day, at scale. One seat teaches you how to make a brand. The other teaches you what it costs to mean it.

Why I still do it.

I'm relentlessly curious. It's the thing that's followed me through every version of this career, the need to understand why one idea moves people and another dies quiet. That curiosity is the engine. It's how I find the thing you can own that no one else has noticed yet.

Questions, answered.

  • I find the thing your company can uniquely own, then build your brand on it. Strategy first, through a diagnostic called Positus™, then the full identity: story, voice, and the visual system that carries it. You become the obvious choice, not just the familiar one.

  • The Positus™ Snapshot is free. It's the place to start, and it stands on its own. From there, the Brand Build starts at $4,500. Final scope depends on the complexity of the engagement, and we determine that together before anything begins. Brand Growth, the ongoing partnership after that, we scope together as well, because no two are the same. Every engagement starts with the Snapshot. I don't build on a guess.

  • Because it isn't a guess. Positus™ maps you and your competitors across twelve scales and shows you the ground you can actually own, so the strategy is measured, not felt. I've done this before. One brand I built took a regional company past its national competitors, until the largest of them bought the company instead of fighting it.

  • No. A logo is a small part of it. A brand is the reason a buyer chooses you before you've met, and pays more once they have. Done right, it's the highest-return work in the business. It raises what you can charge, shortens the sale, and makes the company worth more when you sell. A logo is decoration. This is leverage.

  • You probably have the raw materials, years of reputation, real relationships, work you're proud of. What you likely don't have is all of it organized into one clear story that sells without you in the room. I don't replace what you built. I find what's already true and make it impossible to miss.

  • Take work off it. Right now you're the brand. Every decision, every approval, every "is this on message" routes through you. The whole point is a brand clear enough that your team and your vendors can carry it without asking. You stop being the bottleneck.
